Hi everyone!

I have added a poll question with the hopes of getting some feedback that will help me focus my research. Please take the time to vote!

  1. i think laneway houses are a great way to increase population by providing a rental type residence especially in an area like kamloops. i feel that a majority of people looking to buy a home would look the other way when considering a laneway in a lower density community. the majority of people looking to build a laneway would be doing it for the extra income from renting it to university students. a cool idea would be how the application of a student housing, multiple bedrooms and focused to a common area, could be applied by using a laneway house in kamloops, building a house specifically for room rental to students. this would allow a increase in density as well as an increase in low income housing.

  2. Thanks Brandon, sorry it took so long for me to get back to you, I just noticed this comment today! I am hoping the idea of laneway houses will be a popular option with the genreal public. Student housing is definitely going to be a direction I take my research when looking into the different types of demographics that laneway houses could provide housing options for.
